1. Who we are

This website, https://tautech.store (“the Site”), is owned and operated by Lagari Group (Pty) Ltd, trading as TauTech, a private company duly registered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

  • Registration number: 2026/174919/07
  • Income tax reference number: 9777792194
  • Registered address: 8 Clanwilliam Street, Wierda Park, Centurion, Gauteng, 0157, South Africa
  • Telephone: 079 624 4450
  • Email: admin@tautech.store

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are published in accordance with Section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECT Act”) and govern your use of the Site and any purchase made through it.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing the Site, browsing our catalogue, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Returns & Refund Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

3. Products, pricing and availability

  • All prices displayed on the Site are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of Value-Added Tax (VAT) where applicable, unless stated otherwise.
  • We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, images and prices are accurate. Where a genuine pricing or description error occurs, we reserve the right to correct it, cancel affected orders, and refund any amount already paid, before dispatching goods.
  • Product availability is not guaranteed until an order is confirmed. Where a product becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we will contact you to offer a substitute, backorder, or full refund.
  • Images are for illustrative purposes and may differ slightly from the actual product (e.g. packaging revisions by the manufacturer).

4. Placing an order

An order placed on the Site is an offer to purchase. A contract of sale is only concluded once we send you an order confirmation and, where applicable, payment has been received and cleared. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud, pricing errors, or stock unavailability.

5. Payment

Payment methods currently accepted on the Site are disclosed at checkout. Where direct bank transfer (EFT) is used, goods are reserved and dispatched only once payment has reflected in our account. We do not store your full payment card details; card and instant-EFT payments (where offered) are processed by a PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment gateway.

6. Delivery

We deliver nationwide within South Africa. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and on our Shipping Details page and are indicative, not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you provided; ensure your delivery details are correct, as we are not liable for non-delivery caused by incorrect address information supplied by you.

7. Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)

Where a transaction is concluded without any personal contact with a representative of TauTech (i.e. a typical online order), Section 44 of the ECT Act entitles you to cancel the transaction, without reason or penalty, within seven (7) days of receiving the goods. To exercise this right, contact us at admin@tautech.store. This cooling-off right does not apply to goods excluded under Section 42(2) of the ECT Act, or to goods made to your specification, or to goods that have been used, installed, or are not in resalable condition. See our Returns & Refund Policy for the full return process, and your additional statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

8. Warranty

Products sold on the Site carry the manufacturer’s warranty (where applicable) in addition to the implied warranty against defects provided under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Full detail is set out in our Returns & Refund Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TauTech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of the Site or products purchased through it, save where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded (including liability for defective goods under the Consumer Protection Act). Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under South African consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos and images, is the property of Lagari Group (Pty) Ltd or its licensors and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.

11. Dispute resolution and complaints

If you have a complaint, please first contact us at admin@tautech.store or 079 624 4450 so we can attempt to resolve it directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved between us, either party may refer it to the National Consumer Commission or an accredited consumer protection body, or pursue resolution through mediation or arbitration prior to litigation, without prejudice to either party’s right to approach a court of competent jurisdiction.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the ECT Act, the Consumer Protection Act, and the Protection of Personal Information Act. The courts of South Africa shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Site at the time of your order governs that transaction. Continued use of the Site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
